TICKETS WILL BE ON SALE BY MAY 2008 - Available online, from Burton Agnes Hall or over the phone.

8th - 10th August 2008
6pm-11pm Friday, 11am-11pm Saturday, 11am-6pm Sunday

Like the idea of relaxing to summer music in our award winning grounds, with delicious food and a glass of wine in your hand? Then come to the Burton Agnes Jazz festival.

Jazz bands from the East Riding and beyond will play from a main stage on the lawn. There will be Wold Top beer on tap, chilled wines and locally farmed Burdass Lamb sizzling on the barbecue. The Burton Agnes shops, ice-cream parlour and cafe will be open throughout the Festival and children’s entertainment will be provided in the grounds. Guests are invited to bring picnics and relax to the sounds of summer.

Bands playing: from Dixieland to modern jazz; and big band classics to solo performances there will be something for everyone. The bands have been selected to appeal to all and we are proud to be presenting a fantastic line up of local favourites and the UK’s hottest new talent. There will be a different act every hour playing from the main stage. During the day there will be acoustic sets around the grand piano in the Great Hall.

Bands for 2008 include: RevRay, The Joel Purnell Quartet, Cubana Bop, Esther Miller, Tees Valley Jazz Men, Kevin Holbrough, Safari (Saffron Byass), Mad Dog Jones & The Sophisticats, Java (James Taylor), Julie Edwards, Atlantic Jazz (James Corry), Carlos Olmos, East Coast Big Band (Mike Smith), Tombo Trio (Chris Hargreaves), Jenny Bray, Dan Collective, Martin Bennett's Old Green River Band, Octopus, Ben Grossman, Little Big Band

Entrance to the Hall, Courtyard & Grounds will be exclusively for ticket holders
