'Now this is a proper music festival.' The Times

‘Possibly the most enjoyable jazz concert I've ever attended’ The Independent

'They say that good things come in small packages. This may be one of the summer's smallest gatherings, but it's also one of the most sophisticated...' Daily Mail

One of The Daily Telegraph's best fifteen festivals for the over 50s.

The Burton Agnes Jazz & Blues Festival, which began in 2007, celebrated its tenth anniversary over the weekend of Friday 30th June to Sunday 2nd July 2017. Performers included jazz's great Claire Martin OBE and Ray Gelato, Mississippi native Lisa Mills, and Belfast Blues legend Kaz Hawkins. To crown the celebrations a link was made with the Caribbean Island nation of Saint Lucia. Four bands bought their infectious island spirit to the Burton Agnes stages; an exhibition of Saint Lucian art opened in the Hall to run through to September; Saint Lucian rum cocktails and Saint Lucian inspired recipes flowed from the bar, tea tent and food lawn.

We now look forward to the next decade of the Burton Agnes Jazz and Blues Festival; great music in a great setting. Join us in 2018 on the weekend of Friday 13th July to Sunday 15th July 2018. Line up announcements will be made over the year.

If you don't already now, then read on... .

The festival is uniquely set in one of the UK's finest Elizabethan stately piles, our very own Burton Agnes Hall! Over twenty five bands provide a weekend of Jazz and Blues from our manicured lawns and inside our ornately carved Great Hall. There is civilised camping with hot showers in the adjacent park field, children's entertainers, local ale and food, late night acts in the bar tent and open mic performances in our shops and cafe courtyard.

Could this be the most breathtaking place to spend a weekend, soaking up the UK's hottest jazz and blues acts?

We provide music for all tastes, from those seeking an ambient accompaniment to a glass of wine in the majestic grounds; to the jazz or blues aficionado wanting to get up close to star performers. Delicious baking from our courtyard cafe will be served in the tea tent; with locally roasted coffee brewed on our Gaggia coffee machine. There is a fabulous range of locally sourced food on our food lawn; next door to our vintage ice cream van and its real dairy ice creams. Award winning Wold Top beers will be on tap, brewed just a few miles away.

There is camping for tents, caravans and motor homes in the beautiful surroundings of the adjacent Park Field, with hot showers laid on. The child in all of us is taken care of by balloon artistry and face painting, and highlights of Burton Agnes' grounds including a maze, giant games, jungle garden and woodland walk with forest creatures to find.
