Visitor Info

Welcome to our home

Here's some information to help you discover what's on at Burton Agnes Hall, and how you can join in. Please note all visitors (excluding Burton Agnes Hall members) must now book online. Please book tickets via the 'Buy Tickets' link to the right of this page.

From Saturday 14th November, our walled garden, grounds, and woodland with its adventure playground will be open daily, 11am until 3pm. We'll be serving takeaway food and drink. Plants raised in our gardens are for sale. Very sadly we have had to make the decision not to open the inside of the Hall for Christmas due to the coronavirus restrictions that are in place at the moment, and uncertainty around what measures will be in place once this initial lockdown period expires.

From 1st December, once advent is upon us, we will be adding in as much Christmas spirit as possible. We'll decorate the Hall's windows and doors (with some of the thousands of decorations we've been making this year in the hope of opening), and the grounds, and will have festive takeaway food and drinks.

Please book tickets via the 'Buy Tickets' link to the right of this page. Burton Agnes Hall Members may come and go freely without booking. For everyone else, including Historic Houses members, spaces are limited, and you must book online for admission.

We are unable to accept cash, so all payments during your visit must be made on card, preferably contactless.

Information provided in your online booking (or from your Burton Agnes Hall membership) will be made available to NHS Test and Trace if requested by them. We also display a NHS Test and Trace poster, which you can scan using the NHS Test and Trace app.

Your time with us will be spent outdoors. Toilets are open and frequently cleaned. Hand sanitiser is provided by the admission horse box (which we recommend using on arrival), by the food ordering area, by the pizza trailer, in the woodland adventure playground, at the walled garden entrance and at two further places in the walled garden. Sinks in the toilets are available for soap and water hand washing. We ask all visitors to act in accordance with government guidance, particularly with regards to social distancing and personal hygiene. The Hall, Norman Manor House, shops, all indoor seated areas, and maze remain closed.

We are keeping all events under review and continue to monitor this developing situation. We will share updates as soon as they are available; please check back with our website, and consider following us on Instagram, Facebook and Twitter for regular insights and information.

We hope to welcome you to our home, and thank you for your understanding at this time.

With warm regards,
Simon, Olivia, Islay, Joss, Otis, Inigo and Sholto Cunliffe-Lister
